Managing Partner Partners at Work Executive Search

In 2003 -after an exciting career in banking at ING and Kas Bank- I started the executive search agency "Partners at Work". In this profession, entrepreneurship, my intrinsic interest in people and knowledge of the financial world come together. We saw a gap in the market for a new generation of leaders in financial and business services. In doing so, diversity has always been a leading factor in our search assignments. We are convinced that more diversity produces better results for our clients. 15 years ago, we had to "fight" this argument. Nowadays, our clients increasingly see the importance of a diverse team.

Also, we pay a lot of attention to getting to know top female talent. We organise networking meetings and coach and guide women in their career steps. It is my personal motivation to empower women and give them the self-confidence to be successful.

I have been involved with Women in Financial Services (WIFS) for many years and wholeheartedly support its mission and goals. The financial sector is changing rapidly and we need to respond to this with new insights and initiatives. Women and men can play a decisive role in a better and healthier financial sector, putting long-term goals, a sustainable world, and customer interests first.

As a member of the Advisory Board of WIFS, I enjoy contributing ideas on how to make top female talent visible in the financial sector and how to support women in their careers to the top.

I am married to Dries and together we have 2 fantastic daughters, who have just started in their 1st jobs. I am sure this generation will already face fewer barriers to achieving their (career) dreams.
