Accelerate 50/50

Half of the world population consists of women, half of the Dutch population consists of women, half of the clients of the financial services companies consist of women, half of the employees of the financial services companies consist of women. So, why doesn’t half of the leadership in financial services companies?

In the Netherlands, progress in moving from the status quo to the 50/50 balance between men and women is too slow. For this reason, WIFS and Deloitte launched the "Accelerate 50/50" study last year.

What is the status a year later? Is the movement progressing? How can we further accelerate this movement? What are leaders, employees and organizations up against?

Leading up to International Women's Day 2024, we are releasing the second Accelerate 50/50 research results, an update of the foundation we laid last year.

Programme

The program includes a series of inspiring guests & speakers. The day is led by Henk Jansen, with his years of experience in the financial sector and his role as a networker and inspirer, he knows how to connect our program and speakers. First of all, he welcomes our keynote speaker, Wendy Broersen. She will share her expertise in inclusivity and diversity and her vision of the role of HR in this context. Next, Laura Lee will take us through the experiences and lessons learned about gender balanced leadership at Van Lanschot Kempen.

After a short break, where there is also room for networking, we will present the new Accelerate 50/50 report, which will be explained by Jason Jie, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Consultant at Deloitte and author of the report.

Representatives from deep-dive participants in the research, amongst others Dazure and Deutsche Bank, join a panel discussion for an interactive reflection. We will conclude the afternoon with networking drinks.

For WIFS members, participation in this event is free, you sign up through the member portal.
However, there is a no-show policy in place for members. If you are unable to attend we ask you to cancel before February 25, 2024, otherwise we are unfortunately obliged to charge you €50,50 due to costs already incurred. You can cancel via mail to info@wifs.nl
